Who We Are

Dr Jenny Cusack – MBChB, MRCGP, DFSRH, Menopause Specialist
Having grown up near Edinburgh I moved to Aberdeen to study and stayed in the area to complete my GP training. My husbands work then brought us down closer to London and I have enjoyed working as a local GP ever since.
Whilst I love the breadth of GP and the challenge of never knowing what is coming through the door next, I do have a particular passion for women’s health. Early in my career I completed my diploma in Sexual and Reproductive health and trained in fitting long acting reversible contraception (coils and implants). Over the last 4 years I became increasingly interested in the menopause and the profound affect it has on women and society. I decided that this was an area I was keen to understand more about and completed the Advanced certificate in menopause care through the British Menopause Society in 2021. For the last 2 years I have been working for a large private menopause company where I gained a huge amount of experience caring for women at various stages of their menopause.
When I’m not working I’m spending time with my young family, playing my flute or enjoying my new found hobby of (slow) road cycling.
Why See me GP?
For me, the benefit of working with SeeMeGP provides the luxury of time to build meaningful and lasting relationships with patients.
One of the cornerstones of general practice is being able to provide continuity of care and that’s one of the challenges I’ve faced working in the private menopause field to date. Whilst I was able to provide continuity of care for menopause symptoms I was often having to refer back to GP to arrange follow up if other issues arose.
I am excited about being able to use my full skillset as an experienced GP and menopause specialist to offer women the unique opportunity to receive expert care for their menopause whilst still meeting any other healthcare needs which occur along the way.
Dr Nicholas Stewart – MBChB MBiochem MRCGP PGCERT
I’m an experienced doctor having specialised in both Paediatrics and General Practice during my medical career. Having graduated from Birmingham University, I conducted my junior years in hospitals across the Oxford Deanery, including two years of paediatric specialist training, before joining and leading a local GP practice. As part of this, I have held senior roles within the NHS and represented Buckinghamshire Healthcare Trust at a national level. In addition, I have a masters degree in Biochemistry, and have worked in both America and Australia conducting neurological research into dementia.
I live in the local area with my wife and two daughters. When not working, we are outside, sun or rain, running, cycling or swimming and dragging our children plus a reluctant canine along too.
Why See me GP?
I chose to become a GP because of the long-term relationships I could build with patients, supporting them holistically through their healthcare journey and offering them personalised care and support. Like Ben, I feel that the way I was taught many years ago is still the best way to practice personalised medicine, however there are limitations to being able to deliver this effectively within the current NHS. While I am proud of my work as an NHS GP, SeemeGP offers the opportunity to spend more time listening to my patients and less time on bureaucracy. I want to be able to take the time needed to do best by my patients in order for them to feel listened to and happy with their options and care. I want to provide continuity of care and support through their healthcare journey and SeemeGP gives me the opportunity to practice this way.
Dr Ben Burgess – MBChB, MA, FRCGP
I’ve been a doctor for 25 years. I trained at Cambridge, then practised as a surgeon in west London. I was young and wanted to travel so went to work in other countries – in Ghana, on a cruise ship in the USA and Caribbean, and then as an emergency doctor in Brisbane, Australia.
After meeting my wife, we returned to UK where I undertook GP training. I worked for six years in Towcester and have since practised in Buckingham for the last 10 years. I live just outside of Buckingham with my family and daft black Labrador, Rufus. I enjoy running (I’m much slower than Dr Stewart) and gardening. If you know how to stop slugs eating my lettuces, then please let me know.
Why See me GP?
Patients want to connect with their doctor and for their wishes, concerns and need to be heard. Doctors want to be able to listen to, examine and treat their patients. I’ve given many years of service to the NHS and continue to do so, but now wish to use my spare time to offer patients a bespoke and unhurried service.
Years ago, when I trained, we learned the traditional consultation models – the patient and the doctor connect, the doctor listens, the doctor tries to understand the patient the patient’s wishes concerns and needs. They then discuss the details; the doctor examines the patient and together we negotiate and come up with a plan. I think this is still true.
I look forward to giving you my best, to get to know and understand you, and be the GP that you deserve.
Nicola Cope
I have worked in the NHS, specifically GP surgeries, for the last 15 years. During that time, I have held many different administrative roles, but in later years as a Deputy Operations Manager and Practice Manager in the private sector.
During my time working in the NHS, I have completed an NVQ Level 4 in Leadership and Management, which has set in great stead to take on the role that I am in today.
When I am not working, I love spending time with my husband and young daughter, (she keeps us very busy!).
We love getting outside and exploring new places, including lots of theme park trips all over the world, we love a roller coaster. In my spare time I like to play the piano and enjoy singing, I am a member of a local choir.
Why See me GP?
I believe that patients should be able to choose who they would like to see and when they would like to see them, I will strive hard to make sure that SeemeGP is able to give this option to their patients.
I want our patients to be able to receive the best possible care, with opportunities and options for continued healthcare, which they discuss with their GP and make joint decisions about the future of their care.
I continue to work with and support the role that the NHS plays in all of our lives but am excited and proud to be able to provide an alternative to patients who want one.
